Dairy Energy Savings Ltd (DES) is a company set up by Dairy UK to operate
the dairy sector Climate Change Agreement (CCA). This levy has added approximately
15 per cent to a company’s energy bill per annum and milk processing
companies can save 80% of this tax by joining the DES scheme and agreeing
to reduce their relative energy consumption over time

The following guidelines are not aimed at installations that are subject
to a Part A Integrated Pollution Control (IPC) authorisation or a Part A
Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC) permit.
For installations subject to a Part B or Part C LAPC/LAPPC authorisation/permit,
the NetRegs guidelines are relevant. Information relating to Part B and Part
