Dairy Energy Savings Ltd (DES) is a company set up by Dairy UK to operate the dairy sector Climate Change Agreement (CCA). This levy has added approximately 15 per cent to a company’s energy bill per annum and milk processing companies can save 80% of this tax by joining the DES scheme and agreeing to reduce their relative energy consumption over time

NetRegs is a partnership between the UK environmental regulators – the Environment Agency in England and Wales, SEPA in Scotland and the Environment and Heritage Service in Northern Ireland.

The following guidelines are not aimed at installations that are subject to a Part A Integrated Pollution Control (IPC) authorisation or a Part A Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC) permit.
For installations subject to a Part B or Part C LAPC/LAPPC authorisation/permit, the NetRegs guidelines are relevant. Information relating to Part B and Part C is given in the guidelines under Emissions to Air (see above).
