BRC GLOBAL STANDARD - FOOD (ISSUE 4)

BRC GLOBAL STANDARD - CONSUMER PRODUCTS
This Standard aims to focus suppliers' attention on key areas of product safety. Like the widely adopted BRC Food Standard, it provides a common approach for the certification of companies supplying consumer products to the UK.
http://www.brc.org.uk/standards/about_consprod.htm

BRC GLOBAL STANDARD - PACKAGING
This Standard is most applicable to manufacturers of food contact packaging for retailers' labelled products and branded products as well. Manufacturers have an obligation to put appropriate systems and controls in place to ensure the suitability of their packaging for safe food use.
http://www.brc.org.uk/standards/about_packaging.htm

BRC/FDF STANDARD - NON-GM FOOD
Consumer demands for non-genetically modified crops and their derivatives have led to the introduction of a number of 'Identity Preserved' systems to facilitate the supply of such crops and derivatives. The main sections of the Standard are:

STANDARDS GUIDELINES SERIES
The BRC’s range of Global Standards enables retailers and suppliers to achieve their aim by establishing a set of objectives, which, once achieved, guarantee a certain standard of product. In order to make the process of achieving certification as straightforward as possible, the BRC has introduced a series of Guidelines that provide practical advice on implementing the various requirements within the Standards.
